Ed is the owner/manager of the Davidson Funeral Home along with being a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Ed became the owner of the Davidson Funeral Home in 1997 when his family purchased the funeral home from the Davidson family. Ed is an active member of the Fellowship Bible Church, NOTOMA, a member of the North Topeka Business Alliance, the Kansas and National Funeral Directors Association and the Amateur NASA club. Ed graduated from Sabetha High School, Washburn University with a Bachelors Degree and Kansas City Kansas Community College with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. Ed has two sons, Hogan and Pete.

Scott Hayen SHayen@davidsonfuneral.com
Scott has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1985, serving Topeka and Ottawa families. He has been with Davidson Funeral Home since January of 2000. He is a member of Shawnee Heights United Methodist Church, the North Topeka Business Alliance, the Kansas Funeral Directors Association, and the National Funeral Directors Association. The son of Reverend Leon Hayen, Scott was raised in Pittsburg, Hiawatha and Topeka. He attended Washburn University and graduated from Kansas City Kansas Community College Mortuary School in 1984. He and his wife Kelley Jo have two children, Christopher who is serving in the Navy and Heidi Jo, who is a student at Shawnee Heights.

April worked at Davidson Funeral Home part time assisting with visitations when she realized that working with families during this difficult time was her calling. April received her Funeral Director License and came to work at the funeral home full time, providing kind and caring support and excellent customer service to the families she works with. April is a native Topekan and attended Shawnee Heights High School and Washburn University where she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Corrections and a Masters Degree in Administration. April and her husband Scott stay active in the community while raising their son Hunter. They enjoy watching him play soccer, baseball and basketball, and listening to him play the drums, guitar and piano.
